كشفت شبكة “TF1” الفرنسية عن كواليس غرفة ملابس منتخب فرنسا بين شوطي مباراة نهائي كأس العالم أمام الأرجنتين يوم، الأحد الماضي، في ملعب “لوسيل”.

وخسرت فرنسا لقبها أمام الأرجنتين بركلات الجزاء الترجيحية بنتيجة 4-2 بعد التعادل في الأشواط الأصلية والإضافية بنتيجة 3-3 بعد أن كانت متأخرة في الشوط الأول 2-0.

ولكن نقطة التحول بين الشوطين كانت لكلمات المدرب، ديديه ديشامب، وكذلك هداف كأس العالم، كيليان مبابي، وحالة الغضب والحسرة بين اللاعبين بعد أداء كان سيئًا للغاية في أول 45 دقيقة.

Tamim Iqbal’s explosive 95 blew away Zimbabwe on a slow Chittagong pitch on which the visitors had limped to 188 for 6, giving Bangladesh a six-wicket victory and a sixth-consecutive series win over Zimbabwe. On a track where the rest of the batsmen managed ten boundaries, Tamim clattered seven sixes and five fours after starting cautiously and surviving some anxious moments. Despite three of the top five batsmen contributing 13 runs between them, and Junaid Siddique taking 105 deliveries to reach a half-century, Tamim’s charge allowed Bangladesh to canter to victory as they took the series 3-1.He had curbed his natural attacking instincts after Imrul Kayes fell to the fourth delivery of the chase, before opening up with a pull over square leg off Chris Mpofu in the seventh over. Mpofu’s next over was an example of how the chase progressed – in sporadic spurts amid fortuitous let-offs. The Verdict: Harsh

The criticism of O’Nien seems harsh as he was one of SAFC’s better players on the night.

Yes, he was guilty of giving possession away no fewer than 15 times in total, and also made two fouls, no dribbles or key passes (SofaScore), but the central midfield player at least put a shift in for his team and improved as the game went on.

O’Nien won 11 individual duels, more than anyone else on the pitch, and also recorded two tackles, one clearance and interception, while he himself was fouled five times, again more than any other player, as SofaScore gave him a respectable 6.9/10 overall rating.

Nonetheless, he looks to have secured his starting place as Alex Neil’s side face Morecambe away from home on the final day.
