Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa could find his new Samuel Saiz and save the club millions in the transfer window at the same time.

The Yorkshire outfit have long been on the lookout for a new midfielder, particularly of an attacking nature, having seen two bids rejected for RB Salzburg sensation Brenden Aaronson during the January transfer window.

Before him, it was Conor Gallagher in the summer and one-time Bayern Munich man Michael Cuisance.

There has been a creative void in Bielsa’s engine room for several seasons, aside from veteran Pablo Hernandez, the Whites have been missing a player of Saiz’s ilk for quite some time.

Well, in academy gem Stuart McKinstry, the Argentine may well have the answer and considering the Yorkshiremen couldn’t even land Aaronson for £20m, the young midfielder could save them millions of pounds in upcoming windows.

The 19-year-old maestro has already made his senior bow, coming on as a substitute during a Carabao Cup clash with Fulham in September this year, where he scored the winning penalty to see the Whites into the next round.

For the U23s, McKinstry has delivered three assists from 13 appearances, largely playing in four different roles across the heart of the pitch, via Transfermarkt.

Not only has he been dubbed the ‘next big thing’ to come out of Elland Road by the very reliable Phil Hay of The Athletic but his youth teammates have likened him to Lionel Messi, which only bolsters his creative and attacking credentials.

“He’s a very confident ball carrier, he’s physically strong, good upper body strength, excellent feet, good at beating his man and creative. In his head, he probably feels he can play in other positions up front as well,” claimed the journalist.

Meanwhile, the Scot’s former academy director at Motherwell – Steven Hammell – once lauded him as a “fabulous young player” who “will do wonderful things and become a household name in the next three or four years” to the Lanarkshire Live Sport Podcast.

So, on the above evidence, Bielsa could well discover his next Saiz-like playmaker and one that will save the club so much money in the future. He’s certainly an exciting prospect who deserves a chance given the lack of options and the ever-mounting injury list.

أعلن مرتضى منصور رئيس مجلس إدارة نادي الزنمالك السابق والصادر ضده قرار بالعزل على خلفية صدور حكم ضده بالحبس، عودته للرد بعد فترة انقطاع طويلة.

وكان مرتضى منصور قد صدر ضده حكمًا بالحبس في قضايا سب وقذف، ليعود بعد قضاء فترة عقوبته دون أن يمارس مهام منصبه بشكل طبيعي تنفيذًا لأحكام القانون.

وفي شهر أغسطس الماضي تقدم مجلس إدارة نادي الزمالك بالكامل باستقالته، ليتم تعيين لجنة لإدارة شؤون النادي، من شأنها فتح باب التقدم للانتخابات وتحديد موعد إجراءها.

وأكد مرتضى منصور في بيان نشره أنه عاد ليرد على ما وصفه بالأكاذيب، كما وجه هجومًا حادًا للجنة إدارة نادي الزمالك الحالية.

وقال منصور في بيان نشره عبر حسابه الرسمي بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي فيس بوك: “انتظرونا.. مرتضى منصور بعد طول صمت حفاظا على استقرار النادي يرد بالمستندات على أكاذيب اللجنة المزمع تعيينها لتدير النادي برئاسة حسين لبيب المسماة قائمة موحدة “قائمة كدة وكدة” للتحايل على القانون”.

وأضاف: “هم يعلمون أنها لجنة ستعين ويعلمون من الذكي الذي اختار هذه القائمة الوهمية وللأسف فاته أن شعب مصر وخاصة الزملكاوية أذكياء جدًا وأن 9 من اللجنة أو القائمة الوهمية كانوا في اللجنة التي خربت النادي منذ عامين أو كانوا مرشحين في الانتخابات الماضية وقبل الماضية ورفضتهم الجمعية العمومية وأسقطتهم جميعا”.

وأتم: “كفي كذب وتضليل وتشهير، انتظروا الرد بالمستندات التي أتحدى أن يكذبها دكر من المنتشرين في كل القنوات والمواقع والصحف، الكيل فاض والصبر نفد ويجب كشف هؤلاء المتآمرين الذين يحاولون هم وأنصارهم تضليل الرأي العام دون أن يكون في أيدهم مستندًا واحدًا يؤكد أكاذيبهم”.

كان ليفربول قد خسر بهدفين لهدف يوم السبت الماضي، في قمة منافسات الجولة السابعة من الدوري الإنجليزي، ضد توتنهام.

وشهدت المباراة عدة حالات مثيرة للجدل، مثل طرد ثنائي ليفربول كورتيس جونز وديوجو جوتا، إلى جانب إلغاء هدف لويس دياز.

The Hoops eventually eased to a 4-0 win over the Championship side in the Scottish Cup, however, Postecoglou was far from happy from what he saw from his side in the opening 45 minutes.

McAvennie, talking to Football Insider, revealed he was watching the game from home and labelled what he heard from Postecoglou at Parkhead as ‘incredible’.

“I was watching the game on TV because I couldn’t get to Celtic Park and I could hear someone shouting and bawling.

“I didn’t know where it was coming from. At one point the commentator apologised and said it was Ange.

“He was effing away and all sorts at the players, he was absolutely furious with them.

“It’s because the passes were going backwards and sideways then back to the goalkeeper.

“It sounded like he was livid. I mean, for me, that’s the big talking point, that’s incredible. That’s what I want from my manager.

“If you aren’t playing well enough, you will be told about it. Make no mistake.

“This isn’t a Premiership side we are playing and we had a decent team out.

“The performance needed to be better and Postecoglou made that very clear.

“I’m so glad he did it, as I said, wow, incredible. We haven’t had that for a long time.”

The Verdict: Spot on

Postecoglou’s passion is clear for all to see, and it’s brilliant that he is willing to go wild in the dugout with his side already in the lead against a lower league side.

The demands he puts on his players are high and ultimately, his rant at Welsh appeared to click Celtic into gear, proving his ultra competitive mentality is working on the squad.

They were much better in the second half, scoring three more times to extend their winning run after the winter break to eight games, and hopefully, that will be nine in a row following the Europa Conference League first leg against Bodo/Glimt this evening.

Pode ser ainda melhor se as entidades e, principalmente, os clubes, souberem aproveitar essa onda.

Agora, para acompanhar o seu time, muitas vezes o torcedor tem de consultar a programação na internet para descobrir onde o jogo vai passar. Coisa que não acontecia nas últimas décadas quando a emissora líder detinha os direitos de todos os principais campeonatos, dos estaduais à Libertadores, passando pelo Brasileirão e a Copa do Brasil. Está certo que, por uma exigência do Cade – o órgão responsável pelo equilíbrio econômico em defesa do consumidor -, por vezes foi obrigada a compartilhar algumas competições com canais concorrentes, uma chicane para quebrar o que na prática constituía-se em um monopólio.

Ressalte-se aqui os méritos da Globo. A concorrência na verdade nunca teve competência para enfrentá-la de verdade. Tentativas anunciadas por emissoras como a Record ou o SBT não passaram de meras fanfarronices. Com tino e visão comercial e tratando o futebol, ainda que a seu modo, como um negócio, os negociadores globais sempre souberam aproveitar-se das fraquezas da cartolagem, transformando por exemplo o finado Clube dos 13, que deveria ter sido o embrião de uma liga nacional, em mera e insossa agência de negociação de direitos de transmissão.

Foi nessa época que institucionalizou-se uma negociação unitária de todos os tipos de direito – TV aberta, TV fechada, pay-per-view e internet – o que praticamente fechava o espaço para a entrada de novos players. Uma engenhosa política de antecipação de receitas de contratos futuros – hoje proibida pela lei que criou o Profut – tornava os clubes devedores permanentes, escravos virtuais dos detentores de direitos.

Foram mudanças na legislação, na realidade do mercado e na própria comunicação que começaram a transformar esse cenário, com o boom das redes sociais, inicialmente, e as plataformas de streaming, mais recentemente. Os clubes passaram a faturar mais, os valores dos contratos cresceram e o impacto chegou às confederações, como a CBF e a Conmebol, que, com maiores investimentos, aumentaram premiações em torneios como a Copa do Brasil e a Libertadores, tornando-os mais atraentes.

Ver jogos por “canais alternativos” como o Twitter ou o Facebook ou por plataformas como o Dazn, que mostra os jogos do Corinthians na Copa Sul-Americana, entre outros, é algo cada vez mais usual. A goleada de 6 a 1 do Flamengo sobre o San José (BOL), transmitida com exclusividade pelo Facebook Watch na primeira fase da Libertadores, bateu a casa de 1 milhão de visualizações simultâneas, um recorde histórico de audiência nessa mídia. Isso demonstra que acabou não apenas o monopólio de uma emissora, mas da própria televisão convencional como meio de exibição do futebol. Mas ainda há muito a fazer. E os clubes ainda têm muito a ganhar.

Por que não deixar a rivalidade clubística dentro das quatro linhas e tratar de negócios de forma conjunta, melhor ainda se através de uma liga independente? A lógica é simples: quanto mais fragmentados forem os canais de distribuição, quanto mais unidos forem os clubes ao fazer negócio, maior valor terão os direitos. Isso, mostra a experiência europeia, aumenta as receitas e, se houver equilíbrio entre as cotas distribuídas – melhora o nível técnico das competições, proporciona mais público nos estádios e faz crescer, consequentemente, as verbas dos contratos de patrocínio. Um admirável círculo virtuoso.

نجح فريق الكرة الأول بنادي مودرن فيوتشر، في اقتناص بطاقة الصعود لدور المجموعات ببطولة الكونفدرالية الإفريقية، على حساب سينيجيدا التنزاني بنتيجة 4-2 في مجموع المباراتين.

وجاء ذلك بعد أن نجح فريق مودرن فيوتشر في الفوز مساء اليوم الأحد على ضيفه سينجيدا التنزاني بأربعة أهداف مقابل هدف وحيد.

المباراة أقيمت على ملعب استاد السلام في إطار مواجهات جولة الإياب من دور الـ32 ببطولة الكونفدرالية الإفريقية.

ويشارك فريق مودرن فيوتشر في البطولة القارية، بعد أن نجح في احتلال المركز الرابع في سلم ترتيب بطولة الدوري الموسم الماضي.

وتقدم فريق فيوتشر بالهدف الأول في الدقيقة الخامسة من عمر اللقاء، عن طريق المهاجم أحمد عاطف مستغلًا تمريرة أحمد رفعت.

What followed was mayhem. Glenn Maxwell smacked 95 off 43 balls, David Miller an unbeaten 54 off 37, and Kings XI won with seven balls to spare. It set the template for their season, and an awe-inspiring batting line-up, led by Maxwell and Miller, powered Kings XI to top of the IPL league table, with 11 wins in 14 games.They lost the first Qualifier to Kolkata Knight Riders, but reached the final on their next attempt, by brushing Super Kings aside with another brutal batting display, led this time by Virender Sehwag’s 58-ball 122. In the final, Knight Riders proved they were a better-balanced side than Kings XI, beating them for the third time in four meetings by chasing down 200.StrengthsKings XI made the four highest totals in the 2014 IPL, emphatic proof that theirs was the most potent batting line-up in the tournament. And it wasn’t about one or two individuals. Maxwell and Miller hogged most of the attention in the league stages, and the others put their hands up in the knock-out matches. Sehwag was the game-changer in the second qualifier against Super Kings, while Wriddhiman Saha set them up in the final with an unbeaten 115 of 55 balls. Looking through the other batting line-ups in the tournament, it’s hard to see any that can match Kings XI for relentless explosive quality.WeaknessesIf Kings XI were the best batting team in the IPL, they were also the most suspect bowling attack. Though they posted four of the nine 200-plus totals in the 2014 season, they conceded four of the other five. One of these instances, crushingly, came in the final. Kings XI, and a lot of neutral fans, will hope to see the inventive, thrill-a-minute Maxwell rather than the indifferent Maxwell.Newbie to Watch Out ForIn a team that leaked runs copiously through the IPL season, Akshar Patel gave Kings XI control with his left-arm spin, picking up 17 wickets and conceding only 6.13 runs an over. Not bad for someone who considers himself a batting allrounder. A calm, unbeaten 42 to steer Kings XI to a four-wicket win over Delhi Daredevils also bolstered his resume and Akshar gained selection for India’s ODI tour of Bangladesh. But the selectors weren’t impressed enough with his performances there to retain him for the England tour.
